In the early Saturday morning of 12th Sept 2009, Pendy, whose wedding I’ll be shooting soon, fetched me from our home for this trip to Pahang. I had no idea of its location but I was all geared up for this trip. After a long long time, I get to do some nature photography again and maybe polish on my panorama shots. You know la, been shooting people & events these days really drained the nature appreciating moments sometimes!
So, after me, we went to fetch 2 more church members, Peru & Keong and finally Pendy’s fiance’, Christie. After all the bbq stuff were slammed in the car booth, Pendy ‘drifted’ the Myvi all the way to Bentong, Pahang. After passing 3 toll points, we felt the tires were a bit off balance so we slowed down and took about an hour plus to reach the waterfall’s junction. Somewhere around the junction, we stopped at a workshop to balance Pendy’s ride. While the mechanics were ‘playing’ with the wheels, we filled our tummy with kuew tiaw & fried noodles at a stall just opposite. Trust me, it was out of this world!! Though fried with cockles, eggs & char siew, the noodles ordered were superb. Words just can’t describe the ‘yummy-ness’. I think its the sauce that gave it an authentic taste. Shud have asked for the tauke’s number laa…
After the quick ‘makan’, we drove a bit more and reached our destination around 10.30am. Yeah.. tat was much later than our expected arrival time. The place is well developed, you even drive all the way in and parking lots were many. So we unloaded the stuff and headed to a spot to start the fire. While the guys were breaking charcoals and playing with fire starters, I was already in the water taking pictures of almost everything around me. So here you go guys, some pictures from the day trip… Do share your taught on it in the comment box bellow kay.. Enjoy!!
The stall we were at before reaching the waterfall

The boys working on the chics!

Half way ‘bbq-ing’, Keong chose to go for a dip

And the rest of us joined in.. “Very cold the water!”

Can see that Pendy was very ‘at home’

And so does our neighbour here..

And now.. I present to you.. Mother Nature’s gifts…

..so there you go folks.. a beautiful weekend getaway with the family. Malaysia, Truly Asia kan!
Geeee.. I sound like some Tourism Malaysia advert la pulak.. hahahaaa..
